How to report material on Modybot that you believe infringes your copyright, and what information helps us review a request.

Respecting copyright

Modybot publishes app and game discovery information, editorial text, and references to third-party services. Product names, logos, artwork, and other materials may belong to their respective owners. We do not claim ownership of third-party works.

If you believe content displayed on Modybot infringes your copyright, you can send a written notice to the address below. We review notices in good faith and may remove or restrict access to material that we control while we assess a complete request.

What to include in a notice

To help us review your request, include the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed. If multiple works are involved, provide a representative list.
  • The exact Modybot page URL and a description of the material you want reviewed. For material on another service, include that service’s URL as well.
  • Your name and a reliable way to contact you, such as an email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Review and response

We may contact you for clarification, remove or disable access to material within our control, and notify the person who submitted the material when appropriate. A notice concerning a third-party website or file host must also be sent to that service; Modybot cannot remove material from systems it does not operate.

Submitting a notice does not guarantee a particular outcome. Knowingly making false or misleading claims may have legal consequences. Consider getting independent legal advice if you are unsure whether material infringes your rights.

Counter-notices

If material you submitted is removed or restricted because of a copyright notice and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, email us with the page or material involved, your contact details, and a clear explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect. We may request further information before reviewing it.

A counter-notice can have legal consequences and may require statements made under penalty of perjury. Seek legal advice before sending one if you have questions about your rights.

Repeat infringement

Modybot may restrict access to content or take other reasonable action when it receives credible reports of repeated infringement. We assess reports based on the information available and applicable law.
